Our Guest: Brandon Sullivan, Storm Chaser

Brandon is a meteorologist and storm chaser, living in Moore, Oklahoma, who has been storm chasing since 2006. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 2014, Brandon sold his first company, Hazard Notifications, to AccuWeather. From there, he spent time at AccuWeather, IBM and now DTN, where he helps organizations manage their risk as it relates to natural hazards.

Jill Gilardi, Meteorologist WBRC-TV, Birmingham

Jill Gilardi joined WBRC in 2013. She has nearly 15+ years of experience as a broadcast meteorologist, serving audiences in St. Joseph and Springfield, Missouri as well as Omaha, Nebraska.  She started storm chasing in 2008 and even worked for a storm chasing company called Extreme Chase Tours.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in meteorology at Lyndon State College in Vermont.  One of the toughest TV days for Jill was May 22, 2011, the day of the Joplin EF5.

Brett Tippie is a legend, no question.

He was among the first to snowboard at Sunshine and Blackcomb (at the time two of the only places you could in Canada), he’s competed in over 25 World Cup events and represented Canada on the National Team in Snowboardcross and Giant Slalom. But Tippie is most recognized for two things:

His larger than life personality, and for pioneering freeride mountain biking. As one of the respected “Godfathers of Freeride”, Tippie starred in the breakout film, “Pulp Traction” and went on to star in the Kranked Series, graced the covers of numerous magazines, competed in the landmark Redbull Rampage and traveled the globe introducing freeride to the world.

Warren Madden, Chief Recon Coordinator for the Air Force Hurricane Hunters

From 1993 to 1996, Warren was the weekend meteorologist at WHIO-TV in Dayton, OH, followed by ten years at The Weather Channel as an on-air meteorologist.  

In 1998, he joined the Hurricane Hunters of the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron. He served as an Aerial Reconnaissance Weather Officer until 2012, flying over 1000 hours including missions into Hurricanes Rita, Ivan, Wilma and Floyd.  

Since 2014, Warren tasks, coordinates, and quality-controls the missions in support of both the National Hurricane Center and Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Miami.

Paul Brandt is the most awarded male Canadian country artist in history.

His 1996 debut RIAA certified Gold album Calm Before the Storm went on to sell one million albums internationally, propelled by the #1 single and wedding classic “I Do”. Stateside, his #5 and #1 charting songs “My Heart Has A History”, and “I Do” were the first to chart by a male Canadian Country artist on the US Billboard Top 20 since 1976.

Throughout his remarkable career, Paul has always focused on using his celebrity to help by shining a light on the lives of those less fortunate and has encouraged others to do the same. He has traveled extensively to developing countries around the world to raise awareness for various humanitarian aid organizations.
